Great starter kit and excellent service from Perris

I am new to archery and went to Perris to find out more about the sport. Tony at Raydon Hall was generous with his time, talking me through the the various options. I decided that a compound bow would best suit me and arranged for some beginners tuition with him. That went well and he taught me the basics, not least how to be safe, using a loan bow on the range at the shop.

Having got off to a good start, I needed a bow of my own and, again, Tony was generous with his time, going through the different choices and prices with me. We settled on this package and some upgraded elements, including the sight and release aid, which, of course, meant I spent more than the £499 base price. He never tried to sell me anything that I didn’t need and, indeed, on a couple of occasions suggested a better value for money option. He set the bow to suit me, made arrows to fit, and saw me through shooting it safely and successfully for the first time.

COVID lockdown got in the way but I’ve been shooting regularly with the bow at Raydon Hall since the eased restrictions allowed and I am very pleased with it. I am becoming more familiar with the bow and its setup, and my competence - and groups - are improving. I’m not expert enough to comment on the performance of this bow against others but it has got me off to a great start in the sport. I’m delighted with both my purchase and the service from Perris Archery and have no hesitation in recommending them.
