Perris Archery is a Certified Beiter Dealer

"I just wanted to say thanks for sorting out my bow setup on Friday. It shoots really sweet now, balances well and no vibration". - Kevin

Hi guys,
Just a big thank you for helping me select all the correct goodies when I came to you recently. Derek was the most patient of people, carefully guiding me through everything I required with no bias towards the more expensive kit and I fully appreciate the time spent with all the help and advice (free as well), I have already returned to your Aladdin's cave in Braintree and will always continue to do so. What more could a budding novice require!!!!!! again many thanks.

"Having just purchased my BMG/Kap Recurve I can only say how impressed I was with the friendly, patient and professional attention I received. There was never any sense of hurry and spending nearly 3 and a 1/2 hours choosing and testing was a very enjoyable experience. Now the proud owner of some fine equipment 100% happy! I have no hesitation in recommending your service and shall be a regular visitor! Thank you".

OK Archery The Better One stabilizers.

These stabilisers and v-bars have been developed by OK Archery of Germany, for those of you who are not familiar with this brand. The company has been around since 1976 manufacturing high quality recurve and compound bows as well as accessories.

The quality of all their gear is always top drawer, using only the best materials available and manufactured to very high standard as expected from German made products. R&D features very highly in the companies philosophy and before any product is unleashed on to the market it goes through a comprehensive evaluation and testing process, this includes drawing on the experiences of top archers and engineers.

The design of "The Better One" was in request for a lighter but more effective stabilizer set-up which would offer good balance, reduction in weight and high dampening qualities.

The long rod can be used on recurve or compound bows and with or without the rubber dampener. As with all stabilizer set-up's, it is a personal choice but the general rule with a recurve is the higher the poundage the longer the rod needs to be and a shorter long rod will need more weight on the end than a longer one.

With each long rod you get 3 clips and they are used to adjust the amount of vibration that will be absorbed by the rod. The fit is tight but because they only clip on, when you shoot they will automatically adjust to the optimum position along the rod. It is suggested that you use only 1 clip on the 30" rod, 2 on the 35" and 3 on the 40". However as feel has a lot to do with this there is nothing wrong in trying 2 or 3 clips on all rods. These adjustments are far simpler than the Beiter rod and unlike the Beiter centralizer modules the clips only weigh about 6grams so the clips have no effect on the balance of the rod. Balance is achieved  using the optional rubber dampener and weights.

The twin rods come in 8", 10" and 12" although in practice we expect most archers to opt for the 10" with the additional rubber dampener. Additional weights are available to get that just right feel.

Finally there is the option to add a 3",4" or 5" extender between the v-bar and bow.

Although not new OK Archery manufacture a range of v-bars and half v-bars (mainly for compound) with one of the best and smooth quick release systems we have seen to date.

New carbon riser from Italy FIBERBOW 5.99

We have been selling this riser for over 6 months and the response has been very good everyone who has tried it and bought one has been very pleased with the results. Weighing in at just over 600grams it is very light in the hand yet the new  unibonding and layering carbon construction makes it very strong.

This lightness not only allows the archer to add weight where required but owners have also found that they have stopped struggling with the physical as well as the limb weight and can now shoot more consistently controlled shots and suffer less from fatigue towards the end of a shoot.

The carbon construction also reduces shot vibrations and noise.

25" Riser currently right hand only but LH available soon.

Win and Win have just announced for 2007 their new Carbon riser the Inno and Inno limbs. Unlike the FiberBow it looks like they have taken a halfway house approach to the design of the riser where the carbon is wrapped around a carbon/foam tube frame (above) to assist in providing the stiffness associated with a full carbon riser but without the benefit of the weight savings, as it comes in at 1190grams still lighter than most conventional risers but nearly twice the weight of the Fiberbow. Prices are yet to be announced we think it will be around the £470 mark but with Win & Win branding it's sure to be popular.

The limbs are also a new design called Inno Power Limbs. The core of these new limbs is a new Kevlar Hybrid Foam which is claimed by win & win to combine the advantages of wood core and current synthetic core limbs but not the disadvantages (wood: temperature resistance and foam brittle) and the patented 45 degree carbon also provides a more stable shot.

We have yet to see either product but you can download the new 12 page 2007 catalogue here but be warned it is 104mb so unless you have a very fast line it will take ages (about 20mins on a 1mb line)

Soma Saker Finger Tab

From Soma Archery in Korea

Now available in Right and Left handed

A new concept in tab design which should improve vertical alignment on the string. Contact with the face is important when anchoring and many archers would prefer this point to be the top of their thumb rather than a platform. The problem though has always been inconsistent positioning. The Soma tab has an adjustable plate to rest your thumb on so that you can set it to the right height and it also includes a rest for the small finger to help with alignment.

Colours Small (Gold) Medium (Red) Large (Blue).

Cordovan leather.
